Society
for Women and AIDS in Africa Lesotho (SWAALES) is a non-government organization
implementing Karabo ea Bophelo OVC Project in the 25 Community Councils of
Maseru, Qacha`s Nek, Butha-Buthe, Thaba Tseka and Mohale’s Hoek Districts.
SWAALES is seeking enthusiastic, energetic and motivated Social Worker to
undertake the duties outlined below;.

Position Overview: The
Social Worker will be responsible for supervision of Case Management Workers
who are based at the community councils of Thaba Tseka district.

Bachelor’s
degree in Social Work. |

Responsibilities
include, but not limited to the following: ·
Conduct community mobilization. ·
Identify and register vulnerable households as per tool; at a
minimum of 3-5 households per day. ·
Assess vulnerable households. ·
Develop care plans. ·
Undertake regular health talks and awareness. ·
Campaigns on HIV and VAC issues. ·
Conduct awareness sessions and campaigns. ·
Referral of beneficiaries to services. ·
Ongoing monitoring of households. ·
Facilitate Parenting sessions. ·
Complete monitoring tools while conducting home visits and
session. ·
Document challenging questions from the community for
program support. ·
Provide a report every two week on activities conducted and
improvements on Programming. ·
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision ·
Conduct beneficiaries’ case closure. ·
Perform any other duties as may be required.

· Ability and experience in delivering training to participants. ·
Excellent
interpersonal, facilitation, communication skills, flexible and a team
working skills preferred. ·
Able
to cope with traumatic situations. ·
Demonstrated
leadership and social service commitment. ·
Strong
problem solving and analytical capabilities. ·
At
least 3 years practical experience in NGO or USAID funded projects is an
added advantage.
